As a creative entrepreneur with a million ideas in my head and human with ADHD, staying on top of my schedule has been a challenge my whole life. I was exhausted by putting things off until the absolute last minute to get my brain to focus.
So I created a planner that worked for my monkey mind. It worked for me, so I shared it with a few friends. And it worked for them, too. So I decided to make it a thing.
Here's the backstory:
THE PUNK MANUAL IS BASED ON ancient MONK PRINCIPLES simplified LIKE 1,000 times
One of my coaches gave me a beautiful planner based on the ancient monk principle of being and doing. It was gorgeous (and pricey!) but it was way too much for my brain to handle, so I never used it.*
Turns out my mind was way more monkey than monk.
But I loved the monk idea of being and doing. So I riffed on that concept in a way that worked for me so I could create a ritual for intention and reflection (just like them) with plenty of reward (just for me).
I call it my 4Rs, and it looks like this:
RALLY AROUND RITUALS, NOT HABITS
When someone says "habits" I want to turn and run like Forrest Gump. It sounds so...horrible and rigid. A few years back, I started a morning ritual (meditation, journaling, and walking my dogs) and decided I like the concept of ritual much better. And The Punk Manual makes it easy for you to create rituals around planning because of the way it orients your mind.
REWARDs? YES, PLEASE!
Look, I always like to set my bar pretty low so I always win. The Punk Manual focuses you on your One Big Thing for the day with a planned reward when you knock it out. Now that's what I call a win/win.

why is it called the punk manual?
because it rhymes with monk, I love rock & roll music, and it feels sort of punk to reimagine ancient monk principles for a modern mind.
